Alberta Directive 88: Minimize Your Liability and Maximize Your Security Deposit Refund will help you recognize perceived corporate liability to reduce security deposit requests and maximize your security deposit refund. The AER continues to enhance its Security Collection Framework, aiming to minimize provincial liability inventory. This initiative not only supports the Orphan Well Association but also ensures the protection of financially robust and capable companies. Did you know the AER has updated the transfer security ranges in Manual 23 for 2025? These changes narrow crossover timelines, presenting new challenges for producers and midstream licensees. Adapting to the updated security ranges is crucial for improving your Licensee Capability Assessment (LCA) and staying competitive. This course provides guidance on what triggers a Holistic Licensee Assessment and how the Security Collection Framework determines security. You will learn how to avoid common mistakes and misconceptions related to LCAs and gain a clear understanding of new regulatory requirements. The live course is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. MT. via ZOOM. EXCLUSIVE OFFER: Sign up today to receive one hour of free consulting with one of the three instructors before or after the live event. Learning Objectives Examine what has been updated within the AER's liability management program and stay ahead of the changes to reduce corporate risk Assess how holistic licensee assessments and changing security collection frameworks will impact your operations and planning Gain clarity on who takes on risk and cost post-license transfer and how the AER calculates financial distress and crossover timelines for security collection and refund Meet your instructors - Mark Taylor, Alanda Allum and Rob Cruickshank Our ESG Learning instructors and course developers have a wealth of experience delivering ESG solutions to the global energy industry.
